Mahesh Baxi
CEO  

Mahesh Baxi is the CEO of Compassites Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. Mahesh has over 19 years of global IT services experience. Mahesh takes on the reins of Compassites with a charter to scale the company, build the culture of thought leadership and foster innovation as the primary differentiator to add value to the customers. Mahesh has spent most of his professional life in front of the customers and is very passionate about working with customers.

Prior to joining Compassites, Mahesh served as the Managing Director for ThoughtWorks India, a global premier IT services firm where he was responsible for the company's India operations, business strategy, software delivery excellence, customer relationships and balancing sustainable growth with employee needs. Prior to becoming Managing Director, Mahesh served as Global Head of Delivery and Chief Operating Officer at ThoughtWorks India.

Prior to ThoughtWorks, Mahesh spent about 12 years in San Jose, CA where he held leadership roles in a number of startups that include Apttus, Vendavo, Nextance and Challenger Systems. He successfully led B2B and CRM practices and implemented complex solutions for Fortune 500 customers such as IBM, Quest Communications, Eastman Chemical, Anheuser-Busch, PeopleSoft (now Oracle), Adove, Lenovo, Thomson Financial, Hitachi, Symantec and S1 Corporation amongst many.

With many years of global IT services experience, Mahesh brings tremendous ability and excitement to scale the company to new heights.

Yatin Kulkarni
Chief Architect, Cloud Computing  

Yatin brings over 17 years of hands-on experience in architecting and implementing internet, intranet, and desktop enterprise applications. Yatin has immense global and cross-cultural exposure having been based out of the United States for 11 years and Europe for a couple of years as well as having travelled to client locations in Africa, Far East, and Middle East. Over the last four years Yatin has been focusing on applying various cloud technologies to domains such as Map Data Management and Enterprise Content Management.

Yatin is an effective communicator with relationship management skills that enable him to relate to people at any level within a client organization. Some of the major clients that Yatin has worked with include Disney, Diageo, Schlage(Ingersoll Rand), Navteq/Nokia, Royal Dutch Shell, Merck and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt.

Prior to joining Compassites, Yatin has held senior technology focused roles in a number of product and services organizations like Digital Aisle, Ness Technologies, Revitas (formerly iMANY), etc. While he has primarily delivered solutions using the Java/JEE technology stack, Yatin has also worked extensively in Microsoft(C#/.Net) and Adobe(ActionScript/Flex) technologies.

Yatin holds a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Michigan State University and a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute affiliated with the University of Mumbai. He has co-authored research papers that have been published in various journals and in the proceedings of international conferences.

Rajesh Kannan
Head of Operations 

Rajesh Kannan has over 15 years of experience in the IT industry focused around technology and delivery. He is one of the co-founders of Compassites Software Solutions. He has been instrumental in starting the company and has been involved in the day to day operations. Rajesh is focused on multiple aspects of operations at Compassites including culture, recruitment, human resources amongst many others.

Prior to joining Compassites, Rajesh was involved in setting up an India entity for a US based Karna Global Technologies. He was part of the team that built the initial ecosystem of Karna Softech India and moved on to play pivotal roles in delivery and execution. Rajesh’s earlier work experience includes companies such as Questech (now part of CIBER) and Wipro technologies.

Narendra Patwadkar
Global Delivery Head  

Narendra has more than 18 years of experience in IT industry with hard core focus on project delivery and technology. He comes with an excellent track record of project management, customer focus, delivery and leadership in India and globally.

Narendra has worked with product and services IT companies which have given him opportunities to work in different development models like Agile and RUP and domains like BFSI and retail. He has rich experience of establishing and heading business units in the companies such as SunGard and S1 Corporation.

Prior to joining Compassites, he was working with ThoughtWorks where he was instrumental in delivering projects in a distributed Agile environment. A few of the other organizations he was associated with were Patni Computers and Tech Mahindra.

The education sector is one of his areas of interest and he had taken year's break to work with many schools by creating quality Improvement programmes.

Mark Neely
Country Manager, Compassites Australia  

Mark Neely is a business design and innovation consultant with a 15+ year track-record of helping clients re-imagine what is possible in their industry and make the most of the enormous opportunities created by market volatility and disruptive technologies. His key focus is driving profitable business transformation using enterprise and social technologies to address emerging and latent consumer demand, and to respond to changes in consumer behavior.

He has worked with both start-up and established clients in many industries, including media, retail, financial services, superannuation, telecommunications and government. Mark is the author of a dozen technology-related books, a qualified lawyer and holds a Masters of Science and Technology Commercialisation.

Rajiv Mathew
Head of Marketing  

Rajiv Mathew is a hands-on technology marketing & communications professional with proven expertise in multiple facets of the marketing spectrum. He is specialized in creating brand value by being a business driver, digital catalyst & legacy builder.

Over the years, he has worked on numerous marketing initiatives including marketing communications, online marketing, recruitment marketing, internal communications, public relations, events, collateral design, sales enablement, social media strategy & brand management. Prior to joining Compassites he worked at ThoughtWorks Inc as a marketing & communications specialist, where he was exposed to many aspects of technology marketing. This is where he specialized in event management and brand building.

Prior to ThoughtWorks, he worked with Oracle as a member of the inside sales team responsible for demand generation. His role was to identify net new accounts for the product stack in the North American market by selling to key stakeholders.

His passions include public speaking, writing and filmmaking. He tweets at @jivemathew. He holds an MBA degree from Christ College Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Manoj Patil
Chief Architect, Big Data Analytics  

Manoj comes in with 13+ years of well-rounded experience in architecting and implementing solutions for various enterprises across verticals such as Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, BI, Payments, Life Sciences etc He loves working on solutions for Big Data customers using different cloud services (especially AWS).

Prior to joining Compassites, Manoj had worked in various roles including programmer, project manager, delivery manager with the organizations like Talentbea Inc, Persistent Systems and Vmoksha Technologies. He has mostly worked on products (web enabled & desktop) and provided solutions using JEE stack, RIA like Java Swing/Adobe Flex, BI using Pentaho stack, Perl, PHP having file based persistent mechanism as well as conventional RDBMSes like DB2, MySQL amongst many. He has the proven ability of winning any client's confidence with his technical, managerial and disciplined skills.

Salil Kothadia
Chief Architect, Consumerization of IT  

Salil Kothadia has played multiple roles including technical architect, database developer, performance tester, system administrator etc. He is particularly interested in client/server web application and relational database design using open source technologies. He loves working on PHP / C++ / Python and has exposure to Java and C#.

With more than a decade of work experience under his belt, he has worked on many areas in software development including web application development, database design, cloud enablement, code profiling, application scaling and database optimization.

Salil likes working on developing and enforcing best practices for design, development and testing. He has worked on architecting high traffic web application in multiple domains such as e-commerce, internet marketing, entertainment, social media and bioinformatics.

Ashok Datla
Client Principal  

Ashok Datla has 14 years of experience playing various roles in an IT delivery organization. In his role as Client Principal, he is responsible for understanding the customer's business, the vertical, and strategizing software led solutions that meet the customer's business need. He leads the software solution services pursuit, develops software solutions strategies and oversees delivery of complex engagements.

Prior to joining Compassites, he has played various roles in technology and leadership front globally. On the technology front, he has been responsible for the solutions architecture, systems design and review, and integration services. On the management front, he has been a single point of contact to engage with business offices at the client location enabling better ROI through process automation. In the leadership front at Stanford, he has been responsible in creating on-going and growing customer relationships up to the C-level (CEO, CFO, CIO, COO), and provides long term portfolio management to the client by acting as a trusted advisor.

He had lived in the Bay Area (California) for over 11 years working with Pacific Stock Exchange, Wells Fargo and Stanford Graduate School of Business. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Karnataka University, India. 

Girish Karachiwala
Head of Technology  

Girish is Head of Technology at Compassites, with responsibility to develop, own and lead the technology vision of the company, being the external face of the company's technology philosophy and capabilities; an evangelist to employees and customers, and a mentor to budding technology leaders.

He is a cofounder of Compassites, and has been instrumental in setting up and successfully running the Pune Division of Compassites.

Girish is passionate about creating simple and innovative technology solutions to complex business problems. In his 14 years of experience in IT industry, Girish has repeatedly displayed proven problem solving abilities, mentoring and coaching abilities to build high performance technical teams, ability to persevere and persuade customers and development teams on technical visions and solutions, and ability to ensure that the technical visions are successfully implemented.

With his deep understanding of current, and future, technology and design trends, and excellent ability to evaluate their relevance in context of the problem domain, Girish has provided enterprise level, high end technical solutions for various problems in business domains including pharmaceutical, banking and finance, securities, insurance, customer relationship management, mortgage, social networking and statistical data management.

Before joining Compassites, Girish held a technical leadership position at Ivega Corporation Pvt Ltd (now, TCG Software Services), where he provided his technical expertise for enterprise level projects for customers like Stanford Graduate School Of Business, Option One Mortgage, Brystal Myer Squibbs, Thomas Weisel Partners, Fisher Investments, Union Bank Of California and University Of Los Angeles.

Before Ivega, Girish had played the role of a corporate trainer, providing technology trainings to corporates in Pune and Mumbai in India.

Girish holds an engineering degree in computer science, from Mumbai University.

Sriharsha Nagaraj
Director, Business Development  

As Director of Business Development, Sriharsha is responsible to drive new business globally. His passion for technology, experience in managing software delivery life-cycle for large enterprises and deep understanding of the customer challenges help Compassites to partner with potential customers.

Sriharsha has overall 16 years of IT experience and played multiple roles such as Engagement Manager, Associate Vice President, Technical Director, Project Director and Project Manager of IT. He has experience in product development, quality assurance, operations infrastructure design and understands the over all process of setting up a software company with the ability to understand key business objectives and needs, effective overall leadership and management capabilities. He has a deep understanding of key organization issues, and the ability to deal with IT-related financial and business matters. He is also charged with the responsibility for the formulation of the strategic direction and the alignment of information technology resources in support of the company’s business strategic direction, leadership competence and vision.

He also worked as Technical Project Manager with Apple Inc in Cupertino at Exilant Technologies.

Sriharsha holds an engineering degree in IT from Malnad College of Engineering (Mysore University) and International Business Management from IIM Calcutta.

Manav Prasad
Head HR  

Manav Prasad is the Head of Human Resources at Compassites Software. Manav comes with over 12+ years of industry experience. Prior to joining Compassites he was leading HR & Recruitment functions at companies like Saba Software, Thoughtworks Technologies etc. Manav is super skilled when it comes to attracting the right talent. A hardcore people person at heart, Manav is exceptional in connecting with people. He is also well networked across the industry and the academia. He is well known in the Human Resource circuit and has been a key member of popular HR forums such as HRIA. Manav holds an Electrical Engineering degree from Nagpur with an MBA from IIIT, Pune in HR and IT

Dinesh Tantri
Practice Head, Social Collaboration  

Dinesh Tantri is the Practice Head for Social Collaboration at Compassites Software Solutions. He has 10+ years of experience as a social business strategist. Over the years, he was involved in evolving enterprise collaboration strategies and driving adoption in large and small organizations. He has had many an opportunity to work with thought leaders and CXOs in the industry in both advisory and project delivery roles. He is intensively passionate about social technologies and their impact on work and education. He has extensive consulting experience in the social software space in automotive, education and publishing industries. He also speaks frequently at Enterprise 2.0/KM events, a recent one being the E2 Innovate Conference at Santa Clara. He was selected as one of the top 100 Knowledge Management influencers for 2013 by MindTouch.
